Early Life
Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar is a scion of the 1500 year-old House of Mewar in Udaipur. Born on the 28th of January, 1985, he is the only son of Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar and Smt. Vijayraj Kumari Mewar of Udaipur.
As a child, Lakshyaraj was raised to respect and honor his esteemed lineage, which is rich in history and culture. His childhood was spent in hearing stories about his valiant ancestors and their remarkable traditions. He was greatly inspired by his paternal grandfather, his late Highness Maharana Bhagwat Singh Mewar, whose diligent service to society and sense of charity, exemplified the importance of serving the community while upholding social and moral responsibilities.

High School
Lakshyaraj completed his schooling from Mayo College, Ajmer, Rajasthan. While at Mayo, he served as a School Monitor and continued the family tradition of excelling in Cricket; he was presented with the College ‘Colours’ for the sport. Mayo College is a very prestigious residential school, having often been referred to as the Eton of India. It was initially established to educate young men hailing from the royal and noble families of the country. The House of Mewar’s contribution towards the establishment and development of Mayo College is legendary.

College
For his further studies, Lakshyaraj attended the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School in Australia, where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree. He gained invaluable hands on experience by serving at all levels of the hotel management business, including as a waiter and a barista thereby, enhancing his skills in the process and evolving as a well-rounded hospitality professional.

Professional Courses
Mr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar further enriched his knowledge of the Hospitality Industry and kept up with the new trends in the Hospitality Trade, by pursuing several courses from the Nanyang University Singapore.Later, in 2009-2010, He attended a workshop on visitor care and security in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The learnings from this workshop empowered him to improve the security and safety of visitors to The City Palace, Udaipur, and at all the hotel properties of the HRH Group of Hotels across Rajasthan.

Career
Believing in working his way to the top, Lakshyaraj started his career from scratch by working as a waiter at the Four Seasons Hotel in Australia, followed by a stint at several cafes in Australia.
On his return to Udaipur, he joined the family business and undertook the refurbishment of the iconic Jagmandir Island Palace as his maiden venture, Through 2006-07, under his management, Jagmandir Island Palace reinforced its position, as one of the world’s most exclusive Regal Wedding destinations.
Thereafter Lakshyaraj turned his attention to developing Palkikhana as an, European-style café at the picturesque ManekChowk of the City Palace, Udaipur. With experienced chefs by his side, Lakshyaraj worked painstakingly to improve the F&B (food and beverages) quality and service standards across the HRH Group of Hotels.

Sports
Lakshyaraj is an ardent sports enthusiast and is especially passionate about Cricket. Despite his promising playing career ending short due to responsibilities, Lakshyaraj more than makes up for it with his involvement in the promotion of the sport. His consistent efforts and love for the game is well respected.

Lakshyaraj’s unwavering commitment to social causes and his dedication to the public has created awareness on several issues related to the rural and urban populace in the region. He has conducted various campaigns to create awareness in the field of education, health, environment and other social causes, in order to improve the standard of living and quality of life of the local people.

On Wednesday, February 15, 2024 - The Indian Hotels Company Limited, known as Taj Hotels Group, announced that Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Director - HRH Group of Hotels and currently serves as the Tourism Advisor to Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra, has been appointed as its brand ambassador. This move aims to foster the promotion of Indian tourism, art, culture, and the preservation of Indian heritage.

Personal Life
A selfless and compassionate man, Mr Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar’s love and care for his people is well known. Passionate about various forms of art, he spends his leisure hours painting, listening to sufi music, flying RC planes, aero modelling and playing the tabla. Additionally, he enjoys spending time in honing his skills in photography and gardening.
